Philip Rutnam

Director General, Business

Biography

Philip Rutnam has been Director General, Business, since March 2009.

Philip was formerly a Board member of OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator. He joined OFCOM in 2003, helping to establish the organisation, and holding responsibilities for economic regulation and management of the UK’s radio spectrum.

Philips has worked in corporate finance at Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong, and spent time at HM Treasury where he had responsibility for the Treasury’s interest in business and enterprise.
