Ensuring business voices are heard in the delivery of regulation

Business Reference Panel

Make your voice heard via leading organisations and trade associations who contribute to BRDO's Business Reference Panel. We maintain a close relationship with a core group comprising the Association of Convenience Stores, British Chambers of Commerce, British Retail Consortium, Confederation of British Industry, Federation of Small Businesses, Food and Drink Federation, Forum of Private Business, Institute of Directors, and National Federation of Retail Newsagents.

Primary Authority

Cut red tape for your business: you should be able to rely on advice received from local authorities, assured that it is expert opinion applicable across the UK. Primary Authority gives your company the right to form a statutory partnership with a single local authority, which then provides robust and reliable advice for other councils to take into account when carrying out inspections or dealing with non-compliance.

Local Enterprise Partnerships

Local Enterprise Partnerships are designed to help promote growth and have a role in leading changes in how businesses are regulated. BIS is calling for regulators to get involved to tackle red tape at local level and BRDO is working with LEPs to identify regulatory approaches that support enterprise.
