A parallel consultation will seek views on an updated Regulators’ Code - which removes uncertainty for businesses by clarifying what they can expect from those that regulate them, including accessible advice and methods of enforcement that are tailored to meet the needs of the business.

The proposals are contained in a consultation on widening the range of regulations included in Primary Authority so that partnerships could cover age-related sales of gambling, the Housing Health and Safety Rating system, sun-bed tanning and Welsh regulations on single-use carrier bag charging.
