New Hallmarking Dealers' Notice available


Dealers' Notice 2010One of the requirements of the Hallmarking Act 1973 is that all dealers supplying precious metal jewellery shall display a notice explaining the approved hallmarks.

This must be the notice produced by the British Hallmarking Council, as shown left.

How to get your Hallmarking Dealers' Notice

Notices are available in three formats:

  • Downloadable PDF. This must printed out in black and white (minimum 300dpi, A4 size) and clearly displayed on your premises. Please click on the link to an assay office website: 
  • Hard copy, available from the four assay offices at a cost of £10.00 each including VAT + prevailing postage costs.
  • Hi-resolution artwork. Please contact one of the four assay offices for more details.
