Project launch - 26 April 2006

The Detection and Identification of Infectious Diseases project launched its findings on the 26 April 2006. This event marked the formal handover from Sir David King, the Chief Scientific Adviser to HMG, to Lord Bach of Lutterworth, the sponsoring Minister in the Department of Environment, Food & Rural Affairs. Stakeholders, experts and dignitaries from some 28 countries involved in the project will attend the launch.

A conference to present the key project findings - 3 May 2006

A technical conference took place on the 3 May 2006 at the Royal Society, London. This event presented the key findings of the project and discussed the implications for the development of policies for managing diseases. Click here for information on the conference (PDF, 71 Kb)  (PDF)
