2nd annual civil contingencies conference
On the 26th January 2010 Professor Beddington spoke at the 2nd Annual Civil Contingencies Conference on the subject of scientific advice in the preparation for civil emergencies. He looked at:
- The structure and provision of scientific advice in emergencies;
- The recent swine flu pandemic;
- Flooding in the UK;
- The threat of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive weapons.
