Policy
Policy Unit is responsible for all aspects of insolvency policy for England and Wales and for certain aspects of corporate insolvency policy in Scotland. It monitors the operation of insolvency legislation; provides advice to Ministers, officials and the public on insolvency policy; and considers the insolvency aspects of other legislation, including European Union initiatives.

Human Resources
Human Resources (HR) is responsible for reviewing, designing, and implementing HR policies, procedures and practices. It administers our personnel function and ensures we have a skilled, innovative, diverse and professional workforce.

Estate Accounts and Insolvency Practitioner Services (EAIPS)

EAIPS are responsible for the following functions:
- the authorisation and regulation of IPs authorised by the Secretary of State (SoS), including monitoring their work and considering complaints against them;
- undertaking certain delegated functions on behalf of the SoS, such as
- ensuring the accuracy of The Insolvency Service's database of cases and of IPs; and
- maintaining the register of individual voluntary arrangements;
- dealing with applications for the agreement in principle of appointments of office holders;
- approving such applications; and
- dealing with applications to sanction the powers of trustees and liquidators in bankruptcy and compulsory liquidation where there is no creditors' committee;
- handling all receipts into and payments out of the ISA
- maintain an account for each insolvency estate ,the crediting of interest, provision of statements on request to insolvency practitioners
- ensure that applicable estate accounts fees are charged and collected in accordance with the legislation.
- provide services in relation the handling of unclaimed dividends
- provide an on-line facility for IP office holders to view their estate accounts and print statements as required.
