Individual Insolvency Register
The Insolvency Service maintains the Individual Insolvency Register (IIR). This contains a full register of bankrupts, individuals subject to bankruptcy restrictions, individuals subject to a debt relief order and individuals subject to debt relief restrictions and is available to search, free of charge. This register provides various information including:
- Details of the individual subject to restrictions;
- Start and end dates of restrictions;
- Period of restrictions.
Restrictions Outcomes Facility
The link below leads to a page containing details of recent bankruptcy restrictions and debt relief restrictions results achieved by the Insolvency Service. Each entry includes:
- Details of the individual subject to restrictions;
- Period of restrictions;
- Details of misconduct.

New results are published to the page on a weekly basis and will be accessible for a period of three months* from publication.
Whilst every effort is made to include all recent outcomes, the information in this section should not be taken as a complete record of all results obtained.
If you wish to request details of misconduct in respect of an individual currently subject to bankruptcy/ debt relief restrictions who is not included on the recent outcomes facility, then enquiries should be directed to the official receiver’s office dealing with the case.
You will find details of the relevant office by searching for the individual using the Individual Insolvency Register. If you cannot find the individual on the IIR then please email the Insolvency Enquiry Line insolvency.enquiryline@insolvency.gsi.gov.uk providing as much detail as possible, for example the individual’s full name and address, the court name, case reference, trading name and address, dob etc, and they will forward your enquiry to the relevant office. If you prefer you can contact the Insolvency Enquiry Line on 0845 602 9848 between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday; they will take your contact details (including an address for a written response) and forward a message on your behalf to the appropriate office.
*Please note, this facility was launched in November 2012 and therefore, initially available results will include nothing prior to that point.
