Background to NMO privacy policy
We have devised our privacy policy based on information from the Information Commissioner's Office rules on direct mail.
Here is what we promise to do and some background information to these issues:
- If we are contacting you, it is because we have collected your email address during the normal course of our operations or correspondence with you in the past.
- We won't conceal our identity when producing direct mail that may be sent to you.
- We will provide a valid email address in the Privacy Policy section of our website for you to contact us if you want to opt out of receiving further direct mail from us.
- We will do our best to give you an opportunity to opt out every time we contact you. If you see a piece of direct mail from us that does not contain this opt out section, please be kind enough to notify us of this - please contact the Information Officer whose details are in the Privacy Policy section of our website.
- We will only send you messages relating to legal metrology and will never give your name to any third party to use for purposes of direct mail.
