The National Measurement Office (NMO) has received a request from Prof. A .J. Wallard, Director BIPM and Chair of the Joint Committee for Guides in Metrology (JCGM) to promote the use of the International Vocabulary of Metrology (VIM) and the Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM).

Collaboration between the National Measurement Office (NMO) and Newham Trading Standards saw enforcement officers and TSO's working together on a joint project designed to monitor, verify and enforce possible RoHS and Toy Safety offences in the build up to Christmas.
