Business Advice

Protecting your business has never been more important. As the numbers of websites, e-mails and electronic files increase, and the ways to access them become more flexible, the threat to your information mounts. Visit the Business Links guide on IT Information Security for more background.

Businesses can benefit from being more “cyber aware” and this can often be done simply and free of charge, e.g. by reconfiguring existing spend on IT. As well as having up to date software, firewalls and patching (updating) systems regularly, businesses should also understand what information they have and how it might be at risk. Learning more and having a plan is a good start. Advice can be found at the Get Safe Online web site and the Security Advice section of the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure web site.
