The Peter Jones National Enterprise Academy

The Peter Jones Enterprise Academy is an opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to realise and achieve their business dreams.

Set-up by Peter Jones, CBE, star of ‘Dragons’ Den’, the Academy offers further education courses in enterprise and entrepreneurship in the UK where students are actually required to set up and run their own business.

The Enterprise Academy is designed to be different from traditional business courses and aims to fill the learning gap for those aged 16-19 who wish to specialise in enterprise and entrepreneurship. The Academy promotes a philosophy of ‘Learning by doing’ and as such at least 50% of learning time at the academies is carried out by guest speakers, master classes and workshops.

From a standing start in 2008, the Enterprise Academy has established itself as a professional and business-like centre of excellence for the teaching of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship to young people, designing and delivering an innovative curriculum.

The Academy offers two unique BTEC courses in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship.

  • Level 2 BTEC in Understanding Enterprise and Entrepreneurship
  • Level 3 BTEC in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship

These pioneering qualifications focus entirely on developing and furthering the aspirations of young entrepreneurs.

The courses are delivered through the Enterprise Academy’s specialist network of FE colleges located across England. More Information www.pjea.org.uk
