The Queen's Awards for Enterprise


Queen's Awards logoThe Queen's Awards for Enterprise are the UK's most prestigious business awards, designed to promote business excellence and drive growth. Winners receive a range of benefits including worldwide recognition and extensive press coverage.

There are two types of award - for businesses and for individuals. The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are awarded to businesses in three categories: international trade, innovation and sustainable development. They are open to all business units that meet the entry criteria.

The Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion recognises individuals who have been nominated for their outstanding contributions to enterprise culture in the UK.

The Awards are made each year by HM The Queen, on the advice of the Prime Minister, who is supported by an Advisory Committee comprising representatives of Government, the private sector and the Trade Unions.

Winners of the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are announced annually on 21 April, the Queen's birthday. and the prize includes and invitation to a reception at Buckingham Palace, and for the successful businesses, a Presentation Ceremony conducted by The Queen's representative, the Lord-Lieutenant of the county or city where the winner is based.

Online entry and nomination forms for the 2013 Awards are available on the Queen's Awards for Enterprise web pages. The closing date for entries for the 2013 Awards is 28 September 2012.
