China - Sino-UK Partners in Education
The UK and China have made substantial progress in strengthening their educational links since 2000. Many UK and Chinese universities and colleges have developed links both inside and outside of formal government to government frameworks
School to school links have also flourished. Fresh impetus to educational collaboration has been provided by the holding of annual Ministerial Education Summit meetings. These summits have provided important opportunities to discuss areas of mutual concern and have agreed joint action in a range of areas.
These links have been underpinned by a series of Joint Statements the latest of which was signed during the last UK-China Education Summit in June 2009.
