This website is provided by The Innovation Capability team  in BIS and provides information, inspiring case studies and practical support for anyone who works in the public sector.

We don’t know all the answers, but over time we intend to provide real help for people in government who want to create the space for innovation.

The Innovation Space 'on tour'

On Tuesday 6 March 2012 we took The Innovation Space here in BIS 'on tour' to demonstrate its innovative ways of approaching policy challenges.

Annabelle Simmons, Head of The Innovation Space at BIS, said: “The Innovation Space on tour was a great opportunity to provide public sector colleagues an insight and real experience of our ‘space to innovate’ service and how we enable and facilitate innovation and change. We received some great ideas, which we can pass on to policy colleagues here in BIS, as well as lots of interest in The Innovation Space itself.”
