The UK Space Agency provides funding for a range of programmes run in conjunction with our academic, education and community partners. The funding processes are detailed below.

Space Science
A number of existing missions are currently funded by the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC). After 1 April 2011, space science missions and research will be funded by the UK Space Agency. The funding process begins with the submission of a Statement of Interest to the Agency and more information regarding the funding approval process can be found within our Space Science pages.

Community Grants
The UK Space Agency’s 'Space for All' community grant scheme supports groups using space for outreach, inspiration and learning. Details of successful applicants to date, with information about their projects can be found here.

Earth Observation
There are currently no open funding opportunities within the Earth Observation programme at the Agency. If you are working in academia with an interest in Earth Observation you might wish to visit the Natural Environment Research Council.
Applications
The UK Space Agency is currently developing the National Space Applications Programme to be available later in 2013. This is identifying key public sector requirements in order to stimulate application development in cooperation with the Satellite Applications Catapult and other key programmes.
