The UK Space Agency is sponsoring this year’s Sir Arthur Clarke Awards – the UK’s annual recognition of notable contributions in space activities.

This year’s seven awards will be presented in a high profile event at the UK Space Conference in July.  Each of them may be given either to an individual or to groups/organisations.  The award categories are:

  • Achievement in Space Education and Outreach
  • Achievement in Space Research
  • Achievement in Space Commerce
  • Achievement in Space Media
  • Space Student Achievement
  • International Space Achievement
  • Exceptional Space Achievement

Except for the International Space Achievement Award, the Awards should recognise achievement for activities that are either based in the United Kingdom, originated in/have strong links with the UK, or have benefited the country in some manner.

Nominations are open until 13 May and should be emailed to the Space Education Trust.
