Looking forward to the UK Space Conference 2013

8 Feb 2012

Following the success of the 2011 conference, the UK Space Agency is pleased to announce a second UK Space Conference to be held during the summer of 2013.

The conference format provides a forum for discussion between government, industry and academia. It aims to strengthen the UK space sector by stimulating cross-community ideas sharing as well as presenting opportunities for international collaboration and investment.

The conference last year hosted a wide variety of prominent figures from both the UK and the wider international space community. Senior policy makers from the UK Government, the European Space Agency and the European Commission were in attendance, as well as a host of representatives from UK businesses and research institutions. It also gave international audiences an opportunity to interact with a broad cross-section of the UK space sector, showcasing some of the best of British space. In addition, students from around the country had the opportunity to learn about careers in the space industry helping foster new talent.

The conference in 2013 will provide an opportunity to look to the future of the space community across the country and to the UK’s role in the global space sector.

Further details on the date, location and how to get involved will be announced shortly.
